TOOL AND DIE MAKING: Our skilled, highly-trained machinists can turn the most intricate designs into finely-machined, accurate-to-the-last-detail molds for the injection process. The patience and dedication of these craftspeople is apparent as they mill, cut, and bore with microscopic precision on a project that may take several weeks to complete. Aided by electronic controls, state-of-the-art, computerized machining equipment produces molds that meet and exceed the most exacting specifications. Other capabilities within this department include engraving, polishing, and intricate, computerized programming for use in the entire business operation. A total of 24 different machines are available in this department. PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING: While our specialty is in short runs, we are equipped with a variety of injection molding equipment to efficiently produce products from 4 ounces to 60 ounces and in quantities from 50 to 5,000,000. Utilizing all types of thermoplastics, parts are molded from low-density polyethylene to nylons and polycarbonites as well as a variety of special blends for specialty items. The diversity and capability is constantly being expanded at Terhorst. More than 20 machines are in operation full-time, with some in operation 24-hours-a-day. Current availability is upwards of 300 different products.SHIPPING AND RECEIVING: This area is most vital to the business operation. Receipt of materials and product are handled efficiently and properly dispersed to the correct department by a trained staff with more than 20 years experience and knowledge. Shipments are handled in the same efficient manner and are sent by air, ground, and rail to an international market.
